hi,
my gearbox is gone... very bad noise in 1st and 2nd gear :(
my car is a BRT 2.0 tdi 140hp, gearbox code is HLC, and it is very rare here in Norway. my nearest scrap yard have a low milage gearbox from a 115 hp tdi, BVK engine
will a gearbox from BVK 1.9 tdi 115 hp fit my engine? (dont know the code yet) I do know it will probably have lower gear ratios. but thats ok,
so far: driveshafts are the same, clutch disk is the same, starter is the same
excuse my spelling, english is not my native language
Essentially the basic gearbox design is the same so it should bolt straight on to your 2.0pd engine, but like you already said the ratios could well be different.
thanx ;D
lower gear ratio is something I will like, I can not use 6th gear when pulling my caravan (1600 kg) and it is hard to start uphill..
my old sharan.. 1999 AFN and 5 speed gearbox was better.. but slower in long uphill :)
My vacation starts 10th july, and me and my wife are going 14 days trip to Sweden. so i have to change gearbox before then
by any chance are you from northern Norway?
I am from northern Norway :)
i have had an eye on that gearbox for a while :D just in case, if mine suddenly goes to gods :D
