Title: Door looms needed, where's best?
Post by: KingyMAK on May 21, 2017, 01:51:54 PM
I could keep repairing and repairing, but I'm gonna run out of wire at some point, so;

Anyone got any door looms electric front, manual reads for sale?

I don't know exactly if and what difference there is in them at all?
I have the electric mirrors on the place some people have a tweeter and lock/unlock door buttons above the drivers window switch.

I posted a thread a while ago relating to driver's door wiring looms here (https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy/driver's-door-wiring-loom-info/#sthash.2YOFmKCA.dpbs), though admittedly that was a loom for electric front & rear windows. Trouble is, any secondhand loom you buy will be a gamble as to whether it's any better than what you've got, also when I've looked on good old [eBay] previously there always seem to be plenty of passenger side and rear door looms on there but very few (if any) driver's side ones, presumably because a) the driver's door gets the most use therefore the loom is most likely to be knackered and b) because the drivers door loom has the most cables in it = most resistance to flexing = most likelihood of busted cables.
