Hello,
I want to test the metering pump of VW sharan. What voltage do I need?
Thanks
HS
Take it you are talking about inside boost heat?
If memory serves correctly boos heater internals run at 8volts

Very small fuel pump around the fuel tank.
Hello. Take two leads directly from the battery... Disconnect the leads from the aux heater to the dosing pump - they are on the dosing pump, which is located on the front side of the fuel tank... Use the leads directly from the battery to test the dosing pump... It should click distinctly...
At the moment, when I use VagCom to read for errors I get an error:"Dosing pump short to ground". Despite this error when I tested the pump in the aforementioned manner it worked OK. I concluded that the control unit of the aux heater is toasted... There are numerous threads about this problem...
