when i switch my heater to screen and/or floor it sounds like the air is being restricted and not much coming out also noticed not any air coming out of the rear floor vent, but blows a gale out of the dash vents!!
Humm, there is a direction flap that's controlled by a motor that can go sticky which is sounds like you may have. Worth running a self check with VCDS if you have it as it will test the motors full range of movement.
how do you cure this if this is the case??
Remove the motor and exercise the flap by hand to free it and/or replace the motor if the flaps not sticking.
where can i get diagrams or help to find flap?
right found the motor!! theres no life in it im checking the feed tomorrow as its to dark now, does the flashing display affect this? or is this just the air con need regassing?
The flashing display means the HVAC module has registered a fault code which could be related to your flap problem or indeed could be low gas pressure.
looks like i need to source a someone with a code reader!!
ok tested the feed and motor and both ok! then after further investigation the cog on the motor was missing...why i don't know :( but thanks to a well known auction site andÃ,£19.99 later it should be fixed, Just one thing what position should i set the flaps when conecting the new motor??
I would say that'll depend on where it was when it was disconnected ;)
Personally, I'd plug it in without fitting it. You can then set it to fully down and then once the motors moved, adjust the flap manually and fit it - at least that way you'll know where the flap is and where the motor thinks it is ;)
as the cog was missing ill have to do the above :D
