Title: VW Tiguan Sport vs R-Line model differences
Post by: Mirez on February 03, 2017, 07:21:47 PM
Anyone know the main differences between the R-Line and the Sport? I know the R-Line is the 'glitzy' version with a styling kit and sits one version above the sport so technically a 'superior' model.

However what I'm really interested in is the suspension setups, since I'm getting old I want a more comfortable ride so I'm trying to find out if the R-Line uses the normal suspension or the sports stiffer setup?

Well I ended up buying the Rline as it felt more comfortable then the sport and also has the height adjustable lumbar support instead of the simple in/out type.

Arriving in a couple of weeks :)

Is that a replacement for the Golf or Galaxy?! :o Petrol or diesel? Manual or auto? Is that enough questions? Yes! :D

It's a replacement for the Golf, I chose to ditch the company car and opt out as the Tiguan will cost the same per month (well slightly less as I wont be paying the tax) but in 3 years when I sell it the residual value is all mine.

It's the new CR 2.0 TDI, they do it in 140 and 177 and this is the 177 with DSG box and 4motion so should be very sure footed! I contemplated the petrol but the 2.0 TFSI is the same as the one in my EOS and roughly the same weight so I would have expected fuel economy to have been the same at 27/30 mpg which isn't acceptable for a commute. This one should return 45ish (book is 57 lol)

I got it to be easier to get in and out of whilst I continue to recover but also because it's an ex demo it's fully loaded with the leather, xenons, nav and panoramic roof!!

Yeah it's very similar to the golf inside, well it's actually identical to that Golf plus I bought a few months back.

Looking forward to it and then the inevitable modding! First thing is to retrofit cruise, well peeved that the Rline didn't come it has cruise as standard yet a polo does... geez VW... consistency?

Any problems with yours?

Ohh and "Tiger-Iguana" the powerfull off roader... classic VW weird naming!
