Title: Door control panel
Post by: wazevan on November 17, 2016, 06:08:49 PM
Hi all AGAIN,
Picked kids up from school and noticed I could not open my passenger side window. On further investigation this is the issues..
All windows open and close using there on switches on doors (apart from driver one),drivers switch  will close theres.
Cental locking shuts all door apart from drivers.(with  electric key  fob).
Can manual lock doors from inside but drivers wont.
Button for locking windows on middle windows does not function
Mirror adjustment sitch work ok.
The control panel on drivers is lite up.
Any ideas please

Wiring in door loom broken, check the rubber boot between car and door I would say without doubt you will find some broken. Check all doors and tailgate.

You don't need panel off to check wiring, pull the rubber boot back and you will see damaged Ines. You could probably manipulate them to get the window closed until its light to do a proper repair.

You will find there will be more than 1 broke even if it's not obvious,no doubt in other doors as well. Best way to permanent fix is take loom out and solder in some wire to extend the broken ones and heat shrink to joint.
