Couple of hours spent sorting a few jobs (never ending) and servicing the old gal this morning so I could reset that annoying bleep every time turn it on.
Anyway I decided to look in to the flat spot/holding back I have had around the 3000rpm mark, couldn't really find anything amiss on vcds. Thought I would tweak the torsion value again. Took it slightly more advanced was originally on +5 on measure blocks so technically at top end of adjustment. Funny the bolts are roughly centre of sprocket slots,nudged round slightly reading on vcds hasn't changed but driving characteristics certainly have.
No more holding back at 3000rpm boost comes in around 1650rpm and pulls well right through the range,I can even hear the turbo working away now as well.
I can only assume cam sensor is sending duff information back to the EDC?
Torn between leaving well alone as it is so much better or changing the sensor and seeing if that affects reading on vcds?
Those cam sensors certainly do seem prone to causing trouble, but if it's running well and behaving itself for now, might as leave it until there's a need to do something about it. At least you know what's involved in replacing it and the part number of a replacement! ;)
Think you are right there leave well alone unless it gives any more hassle.
