Hi
My car is Galaxy 2.0 TDCI (reg.10). 83,000miles. Its engine starts well but stops after the time between 30s and 1m. I didnt recognize the problem 1month ago, but the problem happened as the temperature became a little lower (5-10 oC). I saw many webpages but I didn't find the case same as my car. There is no problem once starting to drive but It often happens 1-3 stops in the morning at the first start of the day. If the engine stops, it's no matter to restart the engine. Why does this problem happen only in the first start and after many seconds.
I noticed that the ignition(glow plug) light(lamp) doesn't appear when turning on. Is it related to this problem? I think that glow plugs play a role of starting within a short time. But in this case, the engine stops after 30-60s. The garage told me that there is no problem detected by the computer.
Please give me advices or solutions about this.
Thanks for your time.

Coolant temperature sensor not reading correctly?
Hi. Thanks for your advice.
I don't have in depth knowledge. Could you please let me know how I can check the coolant temperature senor?
I saw self test code C41668 this morning.
I wonder that every ford galaxy has the glow plug and I can see the lamp on display? On self test I cannot see the glow led lamp on display.
Only way to test is plugged in to diagnostics and read the measure blocks to make sure it is registering as cold in mornings etc before being run and then make sure it rises with engine warming up.
Thanks.
I'll keep it to the garage for night. And will check the sensor!
I have one more question. My car (reg.10) has a glow plug lamp? Or it is one of options? I'm not sure.
Yes it should have a glow plug lamp as it has glow plugs
