Title: Bogs down 2500rpm
Post by: johnnyroper on August 29, 2016, 08:20:24 AM
Done loads of miles past week and have noticed a little issue that I haven't previously.

It is only in higher gears it's noticeable but when accelerating up to 2500rpm it's normal but at 2500 it bogs down for a while before powering again. Probably about 10 seconds or so on the flat but uphill it needs me to drop a gear.

No fault codes logged, maf and map plotted both work fine comparing specified v actual except at the point of it bogging down. Don't want to chuck couple hundred pound at new sensors unless I am sure they are at fault. It's one of them round in circles faults as the sensors could cause the fault but also if something else is causing it then the reading back from the sensors will be low.
N75 is new and that checks ok when using vcds, vnt operating as it should with no sticking.

Tried running with maf unplugged but that made no difference.

Anyone got any suggestions before I try a new map first.

MAF made no difference at all or no difference to the problem?

I probably have a spare MAF and MAP knocking about that you can borrow. I'll have a rummage in the stores later. :)

No the maf unplugged made no difference to the problem or to the running of the car in general.

If you have spare maf and map I could try that would be brilliant,at least then I could see if I need one before spending on them.

I get the feeling you have an extensive stores for these old gals?!

MAF sounds defective then, it should feel like its only got half the power available when unplugged.

I break them down from time to time so yeah, have a large assortment of bits :)
