Have put daughter on car insurance but shes such a weakling she can barley turned the key from ig on. to start up. seen these push button start kits and wondered if anyone had fitted one, seems you just turn key to ig on postion 2, then press button to start engine.

Dont see why not, but if she cant turn the key is she gonna be able to control a 2 ton car😀
Not fitted one but it's only a case of re-routing the the feed in and start feed out cables to it,then key in switch to 2nd position and press the button.
Got to be honest though if she can't turn key to start engine I would worry about her turning the steering wheel.
think the power steering helps but she has a very odd way of turning the key ! iKnow it sounds odd and i do have reservations about it but the wife seems to insist if you know what i mean.
thought a button maybe just a simple solution.
seems to be a lot of cheepo chinese types or this Richbrook brand which seems more pro.
I certainly get what you mean, but I do have to express concerns like everyone else does.
If she cant turn the key, how is she going to park the thing at low speeds? This is prob about 2 tons of machine and its not like your typical hatchback as my wife found out on the weekend when she tried to park the thing.
My key can be stiff to turn and mine is to do with the steering lock.
Its just simply the case of turning the steering wheel slightly with one hand and then turning the key to release the lock. If yours is the same, she will get into the habit of moving the wheel slightly before turning the key.
Not sure its been mentioned already, using the stop/start button will only start the car.
Your daughter will still need to turn the key to unlock the steering lock, and then move the key to position 2 to enable the electrics and allow the immobilizer to read the key. This personally defeats the object of having the stop/start button.
The steering lock is a mechanical lock as far as im aware, so you want get the same thing as Renualt, BMW, Audi's etc where once the keys is in it deactivates the steering lock.
