Bloody el mate how young do you think I am? lol! I was 17 in 1999 so spent a lot of it drinking in night clubs most - most of that's ingrained in my memory! I've also done creamfields and godskitchen... so rest assured I know em! It didn't stop in 2001 though, just chilled out slightly which made it even better ;)
What about
Oakenfold - Southern Sun (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aews6iARIY0)
or
PPK - Resurrection (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH7SRF8T3F8)
or
Delerium - Silence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEvE_04x-xI&)
Guess what else I heard the other day? 1992! The Shaman - Ebeneezer goode.... wickeeed!!

This thread was posted up long before I joined the forum, but I just stumbled upon it by accident! As a big fan of electronic music myself, the one that started it for me back in '96 (I was 16 then) was probably Robert Miles' 'Children' - remember that?!
But the album that brings back youthful memories of riding my first 125cc motorcycle listening to music through a Sony discman was Chicane's album 'far from the maddening crowds', a superb range of ambient through to more club orientated electronic sounds, I still listen to this album frequently, it was a blueprint for a lot of stuff that followed. Brilliant!

@insanitybeard , sorry mate missed that. Yes a cracking track :)

I recognise the song of course, not sure if I've heard that remix of it before though! Another one of my all time favourite electronic tracks (back from '97, not sure if it qualifies as trance as it's got a breakbeat for a change):

				Another one you might like:
and two more of my favs from the day:

Darude of course famous for Sandstorm but that got a bit overplayed in the end! Have heard the 'The drill' before but I prefer the stuff that those guys did as 'Above & Beyond'- heard any of that? Their first album was a cracker with sounds ranging from ambient/ etheral through to the banging 'Alone tonight' (track 9 on the album, if you click on the album title in the below link it should allow you to listen to/ select all tracks on the album):
(Also sad to hear of the recent death of the aforementioned Robert Miles at a fairly young age :( )

I was once doing an oil change while listening to LL Cool Jââ,¬â,,¢s classic ââ,¬Å"Mama said knock u outââ,¬Â (I like the deep resonant bass of that song) and an angry mum came out and shouted ââ,¬Å"this mama gonna knock u out if u donââ,¬â,,¢t turn that $#%! downââ,¬Â!
