Title: Intermidiate drive shaft carrier bracket 09B409905d
Post by: Tikka on June 04, 2016, 02:16:48 AM
Hi I'm having problems getting hold of a intermediate drive shaft carrier bracket. Recently I ordered all 3 shafts for my galaxy mk2 tdi 1.9tdi 85khw and the middle shaft fits but is held on to the engine with a bracket which mas to be purchased separate, only think this bracket cost Ã,£62 from ford and that's without the 5 bolts that hold it up. Can anyone supply cheaper need this part asap and I'm in Mansfield.

mine is a year 2000, anu engine code 90 hp ;
my offside driveshaft was in something that looked like the Eiffel tower !!!  when I got new stub nd intermediate shaft, j&r driveshafts advised me to get the support bracket from a scrapyard---it came off an audi but bolted straight on.

yes the effiel tower is a cone shape original part as the aftermarket ones are a little different. so you took it off a audi>? that's interesting. could you remember what type? its going to cost me loads from fords

Daddyfixit, how have you found the intermediate driveshaft from JR? I've fitted new drive shafts from them about a year ago and they've been very good but I have some play in the intermediate shaft and was thinking of replacing mine with a JR component. They have them on the bay for about 30 quid...did you have to buy any other components apart from the Eiffel tower thing!

sorry I don't know which audi as scrapyard took it off-----I rang up describing a bracket that holds driveshaft on a 6 speeder and its bolted to the block.
   mines done 170 k and inner shaft was squeaking/rusty and had freeplay in it---that's why I went for the stub and shaft kit from j and r.
   its been to cornwall and back, plus everyday running around.  I did recheck it before my 03.30 a.m drive down south and all was well.
