I have a 59 plate 2.2 diesel, the front heater fan has started to hum so was duly taken to my local garage where it now lay's in pieces they cannot suss out how to get to it they have stripped back both the passenger and drivers sides of the dash board. Any hints or tips please to get my beloved car back on the road.
Just how much have they stripped? Have they actually taken the whole dash out? Some vehicles are designed so that the blower motor (which is what I assume you mean is making a noise) can be removed without removing the whole dash but sometimes there's no other way. The parts diagram (http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_part&s_id_part=1232398&s_id_model=118&s_code_image=G014893402) shows the motor being accessed from the side of the blower box.
If this is correct it don't look like a massive strip down.
