Ive noticed on my car that the back quarter glass looks like its got motors to open the windows but no buttons anywere. Does anybody know why
Mine are in centre console by gear lever, what spec car you got as poss not all have them fitted as standard?? Seems strange there are motors for them though??
Mine is on the same console but only one window(drivers)
Go here:
http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do
Click on the Vehicle tab in the black strip and enter your registration (or VIN if it is not the original number) in the appropriate box.
You will get a page with a panel on the right giving brief details of your vehicle (build date and suchlike) with a link at the bottom of it saying "There are more minor features for this vehicle, click to expand this list." Do that and a drop down list of everything installed at build will appear by magic. If yours had opening rear quarter windows at build, it will say so on there.
Cheers.
Just checked the etis list and it says fixed rear window.
Im assuming thats that
think it was to do with thactham approval, earlier versions had opening rear glass, but they found a way of gaining entry into the car,so made ford fix them shut.
I asked ford about it and its to do with the euro encap awards
