Title: Alloys
Post by: bestfc01 on May 15, 2016, 02:11:43 PM
Hi all

I seems to be loosin presure in my wheels constantly
I also seems to keeps getting slow puntures on three alloys

My main question is can i fit the vw sharan alloys on the galaxy?
There both 5/112 however the vw alloys are larger where as the galaxy has higher profile tyres

Cant seem to find any galxy alloys in a 100 miles of where i live

THANKS

Yes I would say so the rolling circumference will be the same.

Mine used to lose pressure but when had 4 new tyres last month they cleaned corrosion from bead seat and used some rim sealer when mounting tyres been ok since.

Brilliant

Yh the gent who did the tyres did that also put some black stuff to help keep the seal

Might have to geab the vw ones until the fords are availible

ask tyre place to wire brush flaky paint off inside of your alloys and use bead sealer---much cheaper than another set of wheels ?

I had this trouble, my mechanic also cleaned up and re-seated the valves, as just doing the rims didn't totally cure it.
