well after 18 months trouble free motoring it was bound to happen ..... uob our 2.3 galaxy has lost it, the other day the wife came to a steep-ish hill and uob played up refused to rev over 2,500 revs. i popped the bonnet later all seems ok quick test drive all seemed good, next day same thing coughed spluttered up too 2.500 revs.
sounds like fuel, took pump out...all clean as is the tank, replaced still the same.....had loads of ooohh its this or that.....i've checked for split hoses made sure all plugs are secure ie air flow metre etc cleaned air filter..............so gents whats next ???
had suggestions of air flow metre,egr valve,blocked exhaust a relay, open to suggestions

Have you scanned for codes?
The coil packs/leads are prone to failure on the 2.3 causing rough running/low power especially when hot under load.
Fuel filter?
need to get a code scanner really, which one is best?
not got a filter...ever since we've had.
