Our car is a '09 S-Max Zetec 2.5L petrol. I have just fitted new lowered struts and springs also changed the O/S driveshaft. This has resulted in a loss of some oil from the diff/gearbox. I now need to topup that oil level but so far have been unable to find the filler plug, so easy question for someone that knows this actual model; where is the filler plug? is it at the N/S under the inner wing shield or at the front hidden by all the intake filter etc.. or!
Please help and if possible a picture as well.
Many Thanks Tony.
Found the filler plug so no replies needed. Its location is by the side and to the rear of the nearside driveshaft. I was expecting a HEX plug but its a 24mm plug and I needed 2 long socket extensions with a breaker bar to undo the plug, with the nearside wheel off. Thanks for looking everybody but got there myself in the end.
Assuming it's the six-speeder manual, did you use the correct oil?

If it's the powershift box, you probably need to sit down before you go to Fords for it - about Ã,£170 for the six litres you need. Plus a filter.
