I had a local garage put a new front pass door on my 2006 Sharan, it came from a galaxy, everything is fine generally but the wing mirror mounted indicator doesn't work, so I would like to check the bulb and even the wiring to see if it's different from car to car and wired up correctly.. Any tips or guides on how to do this?
Also, footwell is soaking and door seals look good, have pulled back carpet and checked rear washer.. also replaced pollen filter and it all looked OK too.. last Sharan did the same thing Grrrr
Hi!
They would have needed to swap the wiring loom from your old door into the new one as the Galaxy never moved the indicators away from the wings on the Mk1 or Mk2 models.
If they didn't do that then the mirror indicator will never work (it will also be extremely difficult to make it work since the wiring connector into the door will be missing the pin).
The leek is a different issue which should be covered on another thread ;)
Yeah, I want to check and see if the wiring is there, so need the mirror off.. any ideas of even how to change the bulb?
You need to pop the glass off to access side repeater to change bulb.
As for the wiring like mark said it will not be there as door from a galaxy, best bet is speak to garage who swapped over see if they still have old door to take loom from.
It's all LEDs, they won't have blown
LED's had blown.. so swapped out for a new one for Ã,£10 and all working now..
