Hi, please help. Posted earlier on the forums and a gearbox oil and filter change was advised. I would appreciate it if someone had the part numbers I need or where I can purchase these from. I found a gasket which says will fit on ebay but it looks nothing like the previous one I was getting from an online supplier which has today said they no longer stock after me ordering and paying. My ford galaxy is a 1.9tdi automatic 2004 model. Varient AUY1 version 7B Q. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
Which gasket do you need? Is it on any of the following cluster of parts diagrams (click on any of them to enlarge):

I'm not sure about the filter itself, unless it's the item listed as a 'screen' (number 15) here (http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_part&s_id_part=24899&s_id_model=99&s_code_image=G002157005).
Hi and thanks for reply. Filter looks like the item number 15 but regarding gasket seal I cant see it. Need a mechanic to tell me lol. I have trawled the net and can find the filter
but no gasket. Tried eurocarparts, Buyukcarspares, Micks garage and ebay, with no luck. Only ones I can find are for 4 speed automatics and mines a 5. Everthings vw under the bonnet though but I think I will end up having to go to fords. Thanks.
The gasket you are looking for- what does it look like and where is it fitted?
Having a transmission fluid and filter change as advised on an earlier post. Just been told to order the parts for the mechanic to do it. He said most of the filter kits come with a gasket but I cant find one for this that does. I think it is a gasket that when looking in the engine bay is on the right near where the fill plug is.
Before you go too far, be warned that although I've no experience of doing this job on the auto transmission fitted to the TDI (and V6 for that matter), I'm sure I've seen it said that the filter on this box cannot be accessed and replaced without dismantling the transmission. Perhaps somebody else can clarify here.
I agree. He is taking the part off that he needs to to access the filter/strainer. Cleaning and replacing filter/strainer with a new one. Draining the old transmission fluid and replacing with new oil.
You cannot get to the filter on the five speed box without a strip down
That's what he is doing . Cheers.
Gasket kit listed on this one:

Possibly both the pan and valve cover gaskets in that?
Also there and here

hello, I have a ford galaxy 1.9 tdi 115, automatic gearbox 5, from 2005 (AG5 09B) and on the youtube video, it seems that the gearbox must be completely disassembled to replace the filter; can you confirm, this is a very expensive operation? Thank you
Unfortunately you cannot change the filter without stripping the box.
thank you very much for this confirmation it's a shame, an oil change without changing the filter it's a job not finished good evening
Yes and what makes it worse if you are changing the fluid you will only get about three and a half litres out as you cannot drain the torque converter or valve chest.
thank you, I go through a garage equipped with a Xenum machine, it will be more efficient
About this Xenum machine... what does it do etc.
Also how often should I change the gearbox oil on my Alhamb? Thank you
