Guys, unfortunatly I have to get rid of my 02 Gal....

BUT I am getting a 07 2.0TDI Sharan ;D

Thing is... I hate the steering wheel on them!
Wanted to put something like

Yes should be a straight swap over as both VAG wheels I would think.

As you are getting 2.0tdi make sure it has modified oil pump drive fitted to it as engines from around that era are prone to the drive wearing and stopping oil pump.

Yes.. previous owner has swaped the engine's block from the original to the 150bhp from 1.9tdi, with the chain driven oil pump ;)

In that case should be trouble free motoring. Them 2.0tdi are good but the oil pump is a big let down.
