Title: Airbag slip ring
Post by: bigjeeze on January 06, 2016, 04:03:21 PM
Hi Guys

My MK1 needs a new slip ring - I broke the connector when removing it to replace the dodgy horn button. I am loath to try and repair it as I am not happy with buggering about with these bits. So does anyone by chance have a slip ring that would fit a 1997 mk1 tdi? or know anyone who has one for sale?

Cheers

BJ

Thanks Chris

This one doesn't seem to show the connector that goes from the air bag to the yellow plug that disappears into the steering column. It's the flat cable at the top that I need which isn't on this one. I don't think that it is a separate part - it would begreat if it was - but I can't see how it might disconnect.

Couldn't find one anywhere so bought one for Ã,£79 from the Fraudsters - fitted and all now OK. Car sold for Ã,£500 so a profit of nearly Ã,£400.!
