Hi
I'm considering buying a sharan or an alhambra for work budget means - around year 2000, but I often carry large boxes for work. Like over a metre high and wide! Toys!
Please could somebody measure the size of the boot opening height and width at its smallest point on either of these vehicles and reply to my post?
I've tried VW and seat garages but the cars are too recent on their forecourts!
I've tried phoning VW - car too old!
Also are there quirky differences between sizes in the sharan and alhambra due to the headlining being different or are they all the same?!
Merci beaucoup as we say here in France
Ben
Luckily its not raining the UK just at the moment lol...
117cm is the widest width opening, and 97cm is the approximately height. I say approximate because the opening is further back at the top then the back so it's not easily measurable although I would say I've err'd on the side of caution and its probably 1m or a fraction more.
There are no differences in size between the three models as the chassis is the same.
Cheers!
Thanks for that Mark - Great stuff
regards

:)
just out of interest if you go further forward into the boot, say level with the third row of seats, does the headroom increase to about 110/115cm?
Thanks

Gives you some ballpark figures but nothing as precise as you need.
