I have looked at the reference for vin plate and paint codes but mine does not seem to match anything on the list of codes.

According to vin plate information the paint code is GD but I can't find out what colour that is.
Car is a silver type colour I have attached a pic of vin plate.

Anyone got any ideas?

According to this (https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy-reference-library/galaxy-vin-plate-location-trim-engine-gearbox-and-paint-codes-(mk2)/) list, the GD code relates to the interior trim, not the paint colour. The paint colour is in the box below (number 10 on the VIN plate diagram), and the number in this box on your VIN plate starts with a number 2 which is satin silver according to that list, the second digit relates to batch and shade variation.

Thanks for that my mistake I dismissed blank box and counted the box with GD in as no 10.

enter your chassis number it should tell you what colour it is, though not the colour code
