Title: more leccy problems
Post by: brochone on November 20, 2015, 02:01:57 PM
hi, bought a cheap mk2 galaxy with a blown head gasket, fixed the head gasket just waiting on some new brushes for the electric coolant motor, easy bit done.
All the windows work off the drivers door but not off the individual door switchs, have stripped out all the looms to check them and repaired one in a few places, also all the interior lights have stopped working, checked all the fuses and had a look at various bits but bit stumped or bored. Have no wiring diagram for these systems which doesnt help.
Any help gratefully accepted, live in a far far away place so cant buy anybody alcohol. Also the parking sensors not working but not looked at that yet.

you can get a haynes manual for the mk 2 now,  didn't help me much with my problems as some circuits not covered  including parking sensors  but   chaps on here have most available ,
the haynes book is useful for a few things.

thanks marinabrid, will have to get one, got other vehicle probvs so dont feel like getting at it especially now weather is here. Really just want the windows to work on the doors at moment, have to do brushes on electric coolant pump so not driving it at mo.

the parking sensor wiring pics can be found by looking at my thread called  1st breakdown , its on here not too far down, the parking sensor wiring i think is on page 4 or 5 of the thread.

Think I have figured it out ☺ fuse 75 seems to be the culprit once I can get at it. That fuse box is a right piece of work. With the central locking switch and the window switches not working it must be fuse 75, I hope. Easy once I got a Haynes manual, those fuses are only shown on the wiring diagram though, not in ford manual either.
