Hi guys, can anyone help how to identify what engine I have? The dealer I got it from said its a 150 but I'm beginning to suspect its a 130 or even a 115 but how to tell?
Go here ---> http://www.etis.ford.com/ (http://www.etis.ford.com/)
Go to the Vehicle tab at the top and enter your Registration Number or VIN and it will tell you there.
Also your engine code should be a paper label on the timing belt cover on the LHS (looking from front) of the engine. I can't remember which is which but I'm sure Mirez will be along soon!
Also look in your registration document (V5C) under vehicle details, line D2 variant, you will have either ANU, AUY, ASZ, ARL. that relates to 90, 115, 130, 150, respectively.
A 2004 on a 04 won't be a 150. They didn't start fitting that engine til 54/05 plates. All the suggestions above will tell you, the engine cover will also be a guide - a solid black cover is a 90/115 version, a silver and black cover is a 130/150 version.
