Hi everyone
I bought one of those diy aircon regas kits from Halfrauds as the aircon in my Gal & my son's Mini was ineffective ( used them before with good results on previous cars).
Found the low pressure port on the Mini no problem & regassed in seconds, nice & cold 😀
Can I find the low pressure side on the Gal? can I heck as like 😠
Google & YouTube searches find nothing.
Does anyone know where the low pressure port for the aircon is? ( tried inside the front wheel arch behind the liner, not there 😞, haven't tried the passenger side though)

Help??
Hm, the parts diagrams (http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_part&s_id_part=1232676&s_id_model=118&s_code_image=G014893208) aren't overly helpful either, it clearly shows one port near a union on the offside of the condenser, I can only hazard a guess (bearing in mind that the diagrams aren't always 100% spot on in terms of visual accuracy) that the little elbow with a cap on pipes 19A705A&B (I think they must be alternative configurations of the same pipe) might be it. If so that would put it at the rear of the engine bay close to where the a/c pipes go into the blower box on the bulkhead.
Thanks for the reply
Still unable to locate the charge point though, took the engine cover off but can't see anything towards the back 😢
Found this little snippet. Don't know if its any help to you.
Chris
Thanks Chris
The high pressure port is exactly as shown, I'll check out the rear of the engine bay tomorrow & let you know. 😀

Ian
Found it!
It's almost in the position in Chris's diagram.
I emailed STP who make the kits & they rang me today & pointed me to the exact location.
It's right at the back of the engine bay on a silver coloured pipe that bends up just enough to see the dust cap behind 2 other pipes.
I'll try to attach some pix
Oops!
3rd picture is upside down 😇
Stands out a mile how did you miss it cya
Sorted! (hopefully!)
