I've never done one. But usually they're secured to numerous things by a combination of rivets, bolts, self tapping screws and plastic clips:

1) Secured to the wings by bolts/ screws accessed from behind the wing itself
2) Secured to the front panel or radiator housing by clips/ screws from above
3) Secured by screws to the front wheelarch liners
4) Secured to the radiator housing/ front panel etc from below
5) Quite often they also slide onto dedicated mounting brackets (fitted to the wings for example)

Quite often the headlamps will need to come out to aid removal or to enable access to certain fixings, and any wiring looms- e.g for parking sensors, foglamps etc- will need to be disconnected. The parts diagrams (http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_unit&s_id_grp=1249139&s_id_model=118) may give limited guidance.
