hello every1 i have got a 2007 ford galaxy 2.0tdci i want to replace the timing belt i was wondering if anyone has got a diagram or pictures of the pully and crank markings any help would be much appreciated
Isn't it a chain on the mk 3? :-[
It might be chain driven on some engine variants but the 2 litre TDCI at least is belt driven, although there is a chain linking the twin camshafts (the belt only drives a sprocket on one of the camshafts) - parts diagrams here (http://eucatparts.com/?action=cat_ford_unit&s_id_grp=1202844&s_id_model=118), there are a few similar looking cambelt/ timing gear diagrams in the cluster I've linked, all similar looking but I'm not sure which applies directly to your 2007 Galaxy. It should give you an idea anyway.
Can't help with timing mark pictures or locations though, the closest engine I've changed a timing belt on was a 1.6 TDCI which didn't have marks but holes in the crank, camshaft and fuel pump sprockets for locking pins (which were different sizes).
