Does anyone know how to remove the steeri g wheel function buttons. Will it need the removal of the airbag.
Anyone please help
If you can post a picture of your steering wheel with the position of the buttons relative to the airbag I may be able to make a semi educated guess, it's not a job I can speak from experience of doing though.
probably like this paul,

This isnt my steering wheel but its exactly the same from a galaxy mk3 zetec 1.8tdci 56 plate
If these (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-GALAXY-MK3-MONDEO-MK4-STEERING-WHEEL-CONTROL-BUTTONS-6M2T-14K147-AH-BG-/251983533929?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aab639769) are the same buttons, which by the looks of it they are then it looks like an airbag off job to me, as I'm assuming the 'arms' coming off of the button housings have some fixing holding them to the steering wheel which is concealed by the airbag unit when it is fitted.
not sure if this helps, but I had my steering wheel off the other day, and looks identical to yours. Disconnect battery (-'ve terminal), have a cuppa whilst the electrical systems discharge. Then key in ignition lock to prevent steering wheel locking, rotate steering wheel to expose where the black hooks are on the back of the airbag. Push on the airbag/horn, and with flat bladed screwdriver, prise the spring from under the black plastic airbag hook at the back of the steering wheel, and repeat twice (there are three airbag hooks, steering wheel needs to be rotated to expose each in turn).
Airbag will then be free, disconnect wires, then access to radio buttons etc is straightforward.
CAUTION: Do not do what I did, and spin steering wheel left several times, then right several times. It will rip the clock spring, and that cost me Ã,£106 from main dealer...if you need a video, message me, I'll try and oblige.
