Hi,
Having sudden problem, both started at the same time.
Speedo not working and at the same time the fuel gauge keeps beeping and going from zero tp 1/4
Many thanks for help
On further investigation. The beeping is being caused by the low fuel warning signal. It would appear that that the speedometer is not working and the fuel reading is a power on/power off problem. Both seem linked as they occurred at the same time. Hope that may be off help to any helping bods. ty
What year is your Galaxy? I'm fairly sure I've read somewhere before that a dodgy earth (possibly in the engine bay?) could be responsible for causing various instrument cluster problems, but it'll need the input from some of the other guys here to be any more specific than that I'm afraid.
Just a follow up to this old post. I cured the same problem on my Mk2 WGR by replacing the LH front ABS cable. It is double ended at the wheel end on my model and also cured the fuel gauge issue.
Hi guys, hope you're well. just to add onto this Recently the handbrake light on the dash of my 04 Ford galaxy 2.8 V6 started flashing while driving and then the speedo stopped working, also please Refuel message also starts flashing. Mechanic said it might be the ABS pump and module. I have purchased a like for like complete ABS PUMP which he has put in the car but the same issues remain (changed twice now). Any suggestions? All other ABS sensors are new. The sump was removed and cleaned and fuel pump replaced too. Your help is appreciated. Likewise I have spent more on this than i should have and don't want to scrap it. Thanks.
