Just changed gearbox on my 1.9 130 Alhambra 2005. Will write up with some pics tomorrow, been a very long day!!
Now driving well, only issue is it keeps flashing oil warnings at me- oil pressure sensor warning comes on and tells me to stop driving now.
I don't think there can be an actual pressure issue as I haven't disturbed anything on the engine. I did, however have to jack up on the sump, near to the sensor that is down there.
Is that the oil pressure sensor or is it somewhere else?
There's an oil level sensor which is fitted in the base of the sump pan- it's not fitted to all diesels though, my '54 plate doesn't have one. The oil pressure sensor is fitted at the base of the oil filter housing. Is it possible that whilst doing the job and with the engine lowered at the gearbox end a cable has been overstressed to the point where it's given up and broken? Alternatively if you've damaged the sensor on the sump then it could be causing the light to come on because it's no longer able to detect the oil level!
Took it out for a good run today, def not an actual pressure issue as ran fine.
I noticed the oil temp is not registering at all- hopefully this is a clue to which sensor is at fault. Both the sensor at the bottom of the sump and the one at the oil filter "look" fine- wiring connecting, no obvious problems.
I cant find which sensor reports the oil temp?
Hello! The sump sensor detects level and temp, it will also trigger yellow and red can warnings whilst driving if the signal isn't present...
Brilliant!Thank you, should be an easy fix of changing the sensor then! Will order from Ebay today. Had both yellow and red can warnings today so it must be that. I assume the oil has to come out to change it? Only just done oil change so I'll probably reuse it.
Just been out in it and it feels very sluggish to how it was before this oil warning issue. Is it possible it is in a limp mode due to the oil warning? There is no lights on the dash apart from the oil can warning.
Hm, I'd be surprised if this was the case- if the engine was genuinely being starved of oil then for it to be any good any failsafe should prevent the engine running (I don't think the Galaxy has this feature, not sure about the Alhambra), not induce a limp mode!
As always I stand to be corrected.
Confirmed, the temp and level sensor provides info to the cluster only for display purposes. There is no link between it and performance, even with the warning on.

Just read the codes and got P1156- Manifold pressure sensor. Can anyone tell me where it is? I am hoping it is just loose/disconnected after the box swap. It is definitely very sluggish, like a lack of boost or a limp mode. I really can't spend any more on this car, I just need it work!!

The MAP sensor is in the intake pipe from the intercooler, number 9 on the second image down:
