Title: hacksaw blade
Post by: marinabrid on May 25, 2015, 02:47:15 PM
Afternoon all,  doing a bit of diy
snapped hacksaw blade    wondered if there was a right way to put the blade back in,     should the teeth point forwards or backwards ?

Depends if you want to cut on the push or pull stroke☺
Personally i use them facing forward so your weight is on the cut as you push

Facing forward - you usually cut on the forward motion.

unless there really cheap blades.theres usually indicating arrows on the blade itself.

on coping saw blades i have the teeth facing upwards, which is the wrong way.
