Title: New Owner SMax - Newbie
Post by: Tubateacher on May 23, 2015, 07:31:00 AM
Hi,
I am a newbie to Fords having recently purchased a 2007 Smax. I took it to my local Ford for a full service. I have had a few incidents where the battery is flat in the morning so asked them to look into it. The advice is now that I need a new battery Ã,£150 fitted. I have always changed batteries myself but on every other car I have had this has been a straightforward job but does not look like it on the Smax.
Is it something I can do with limited mechanic skills? Any tips regarding this job and also any batteries that are considered to be the better sort to buy for the Smax (if any?)

Thanks in advance :)

yes it is something fairly straight forward to do.BUT why would you?
i had to have mine changed about 1 year ago and got my local battery supplier to do it included in the price, which by the way was cheaper then the likes of halfords.
soz cant remember what type i had fitted.
BUT if you do do it yourself, make sure you have your radio code.
