Did VW/Ford ever make a DVD player for the roof for the rear passengers as i think this would keep the kids quiet on long Journeys!
Is it just a case of finding an aftermarket one?
To my knowledge the only factory fit option was for the system with screens for the second row seats integrated into the driver's and passenger front seat headrests, I'm not aware of any other system from Ford, even as an aftermarket option.
Thanks for your reply, I shall have to look for an aftermarket one, is there anything stopping me from mounting one to the roof e.g. wires etc as the vents are on the roof and there may be pipework going to them?
The two headrest screens version is Ford's and uses a Visteon DVD player between the front seats and the screens. VW's version was indeed a roof mounted system that went just in front of the middle row interior lights and bolted to an aluminium plate that had to be retrofitted by a dealer. IIRC this system was made by Rolson but reliability was somewhat questionable :)
Thanks for the replies, it sounds like it is possible to fit to the roof without upsetting anything. I will have a look and see what is around.
Thanks again.

I think I may have a twin screen DVD player which fits to the headrests but its all a bit clumsy for me with wires here there and everywhere, I like the idea of the roof one as it keeps everything tidy but thanks for the suggestion though.
