Hello
My Galaxy has started cutting out when driving but - after coming to a halt - the car will always start without any bother.
It maybe coincidence (and luck), but has generally been happening while car is slowing or while travelling at low-ish speed (<30 mph).
There are no other symptoms prior to the cut out and none following restart. The car will also run trouble-free for a couple of days or so before the issue re-occurs...
Today had a real near miss so not driving car until issue resolved.
I'd be grateful for any help!!
Thanks in advance.
BTW - It's a diesel so has no fuel inertia switch
Possibly relay 109 issue bad internal soldering
hello my 1998 galaxy tdi seems to be doing the same thing did you find the problem and cure it, I would be very grate full to know how you got on the problem is driving me mad

First step is to read the codes and see if any faults logged.
Otherwise just guesswork.
Mine has done this a few times recently, usually at low speeds while manoeuvring. It's as if it's being starved of fuel. Sometimes turns over and over as if the fuel has run out.
check with vag com... Mine had a similar problem and it was the pump diesel temp sensor that was faulty
