Hi, both the parking sensors and Cruise Control on our 2003 Galaxy 2.3 Ghia have failed. The cruise control doesn't appear to work at all and the parking sensors just made a continuous bleep and the switch light flashes. I think by listening to the sensors two are suspect on the back.
Are these faults something I can help resolve using a VCDS lite? If so, are they easy to use?
Thanks.
VCDS can't talk to your engine as its a Ford engine and not a VW one so it can't help with the Cruise side of things. The cruise is most likely to be a split hose from the vacuum pump. Its located inside the passenger wing (either remove the passenger headlight or the wheel arch liner) - the rubber hose splits and the system can't pressurise correctly.
VCDS will be able to talk to the PDC controller though and tell you which parking sensors are faulty.
Much appreciated. Thanks.
