Title: Cabin Blower motor and A/C issue???
Post by: niall on April 06, 2015, 11:25:52 PM
Hi there people.
I have a strange problem that was discovered today as a result of  the weirdly good weather.

The cabin blower motor speed controller i.e the dial switch that increases/decreases the fan speed, was missing speed 1 and 2 but speed 3 and 4 were working.

No fan at position 1 and 2.... normal speed fan working at position 3 and higher speed at  position 4???

Also, the A/C button light was on for position 1 and 2 but when the fan actually came on at position 3.....the A/C would go off automatically?????
The A/C was coming on i.e. clutch kicks in and revs dip.
I will scan for codes tomorrow.

Has anyone ever come across this before?

Thanks

N.

That's usually the resistor needs replacing next to the blower motor.

Thanks Chrispb...Ill check it out..

Is the resistor part of/attached to the blower motor?

We've never noticed the A/C going off at speeds 3 and 4 before......is that normal, do you think?

Ta,

N.

Hello Friend,
I have the same problem as yours. 1 and 2 fan speed are not working / not working air conditioner 3 and 4 fan speed! Please tell me whether after fine resistor fan, air conditioner works on 3 and 4 fan speed?
