Hi
I have looked through the handbook but I can find no reference to whether the central locking should activate when you start moving.
I have a 2009 Galaxy Zetec
Does anyone know if this is a feature of this model?
Thanks
Owen
Hi owen welcome5
No it doesn't.
But you can do this https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/mk3-galaxy-reference-library/how-to-open-only-drivers-door-central-locking/
Chris, I've never owned a Mk3 Galaxy (unlike yourself) so I can't speak from experience but I thought some of the newer Fords could be configured for the central locking to automatically activate when in motion as a security feature?

Hi Paul
It may well be something that can be configured but not something that can be done by the average DIY'er.
There will be a switch for activating/deactivating this feature, our new Sharan has this but as yet not tried it.
It was a while ago, like you say it possibly was something that had to be done with IDS (and it does ring a
-distant!- bell) as opposed to something the vehicle owner could configure themselves- if the O.P's vehicle is doing this perhaps it had been configured at the request of the previous owner?
Thank you all who replied
