Hi I just got a galaxy cars nice but the management light came on I have a generic reader the code was p0700 an p0748 the car was OK just auto box seems like when a normal clutch rides. Then yesterday it was hash jerky change many in 3rd or second change. I saw a post an looked at the black connector in engine bay fuse box its a bit brittle so cleaned it up an the management light went but today its back any ideas, could it be gear oil looks like someone may have toped it up as can see fluid on top of gearbox. Cheers
The clunky shift on my 2.8 V6 5spd auto improved when a worn passenger side driveshaft was replaced.
Got even better when some link rods where changed and I expect will hopefully be gone when the now worn driver side drive shaft is changed.
It seems the cars do not like any play in the drivetrain.
Maybe worth checking all the driveshafts and suspensions bushes for play - maybe the source of you jerky shifts.
As for the feeling of 'riding the clutch' not so sure, that sounds more like the box itself bug I'm no expert.
