Title: gushing water under car
Post by: roymacky on February 12, 2015, 11:43:02 AM
ive read how to sort the washer problem at the rear , it hast fixed anything even thoughthe pipe was disconnected,

water is pouring from underneath the car when trying to deliver water to the washers..i cant find where to look to sort this, tried removingnthe battery tray for a betterlook but failed and snapped two sockets trying to get it off,

this is not my field of expertise, im a plasterer, anyone want their galaxy skimming?

If it's leaking from the passenger side front then it sounds like the pipe/s may have come adrift from the pump on the washer bottle, no need to take the battery tray out, just put the steering on full right hand lock and remove the numerous torx screws (size 25 IIRC) on the front end of the front nearside plastic wheelarch liner, you can then pull the liner down and view the washer bottle, pump and pipe connections.

Same thing happened to me the other year - basically if the water freezes it pops the pipe off the water reservoir / pump. Should be obvious once you've pulled back the wheel arch liner. Hopefully you can just pop the pipe back on.

At this time of year it's best to ensure a good strong mix of screenwash to avoid freezing. I bought 2.5 litres of concentrated screenwash for 1.98 in Asda the other day.
