Would a headlight switch from a passat B5.5 (2003) fit my mk2 galaxy? Cheers.

Lol. Because the passat one, has the chrome bezel/detail and looks cooler! Cheers.

Ahh you mean a new style passat one, answers no then. The galaxy switch is a direct switch meaning it switches the light current where as the passat switch is signal level so handles virtually no current.

Man, I really raise my hat to you! You know sooo much about these cars! Just to recap, B5.5 passat (not B6) switch not compatible with my Galaxy's switch. Thanx again Mark.

No the 5.5 version should be ok but they didn't do a chrome version of that (well not to my knowledge at least) - if you find one it'll almost certainly be a chinese copy which is ok...ish. Also the illumination of it will be red not green.

You're right again! It is chinese, but looks good with the chrome :)
