I have a Galaxy the seat belt alarm stays on? Any help would be appreciated
Just to clarify, can you confirm what model of Galaxy you have? For a 1.8 TDCI on an '06 plate then I would think it would have to be a Mk3 model, I don't think the Mk2 had seatbelt warning indicators, nor was it ever fitted with a 1.8 TDCI engine. See here (https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy-reference-library/galaxy-mk1-2-or-3-which-model-do-i-own/) for clarification.
Yes, sorry mk3
To my knowledge the seatbelt warning uses a sensor pad in the seat base cushion to determine if the seat is occupied, there would also need to be a sensor in the buckle to determine if the belt is plugged in, so possible causes (but not limited to) include these sensors or dodgy wiring contacts etc.
