A place called Hythe, we're there monday through friday. I'll drop you a PM toward the end of the week, maybe meet up on the way there if you're about? Not sure if we're grabbing a hotel and heading up on Sunday yet...

If that's Hythe near Folkestone and you're at all interested in trains/ miniature engineering I recommend a visit to the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch railway............  [YES] (assuming they're open/ running of course!)

Hythe is only 45 mins from me, the train has limited service over Chrismas/New Year
see here (http://www.rhdr.org.uk/) for details.
Dungeness is at the end of the 13.5 mile train ride which has the nuclear power station and two lighthouses one of which is open to visits

Rye is also a place to visit and camber sands although may be a bit chilly for paddling :)
