Title: Motion lock
Post by: robpa24 on December 10, 2014, 01:15:27 PM
Can you tell me the method for activation the motion lock for the doors on my 2013 SMax Titanium. I have tried open ign, lock and unlock 3 times, close ign, open ign lock and unlock 3 times etc etc etc.......this does not seem to work. The Handbook is of no help.
Thanks
Peter Roberts

Hi! Do you have the Converse+ system? (The nice colour LCD screen instrument cluster) or a normal dial one?

Hello Peter and  [W4]
Don't recall seeing anything about that in the book or was that something new for the 2013 models

Its a feature thats gone from the newer Ford's for some unknown reason. If you have converse+ then you can enable it as an option to turn on/off using a diag cable. Don't think there is a way around if you don't have converse+ at the moment.

Auto locks all the doors when you first go above 15mph, its also called anti hi-jack as that's the main reason for enabling it. On VW's its a simple VCDS tweak, on Ford's you need to have a modified elm cable and converse+ so you can enable it within the controller and then turn it on as a software option within converse+ - that's about the extent of my knowledge on that one!
