Can you tell me the method for activation the motion lock for the doors on my 2013 SMax Titanium. I have tried open ign, lock and unlock 3 times, close ign, open ign lock and unlock 3 times etc etc etc.......this does not seem to work. The Handbook is of no help.
Thanks

Hi! Do you have the Converse+ system? (The nice colour LCD screen instrument cluster) or a normal dial one?
Hello Peter and [W4]
Don't recall seeing anything about that in the book or was that something new for the 2013 models
[W3] peter
Its a feature thats gone from the newer Ford's for some unknown reason. If you have converse+ then you can enable it as an option to turn on/off using a diag cable. Don't think there is a way around if you don't have converse+ at the moment.
dont even know what it is?
but i have convers.
Auto locks all the doors when you first go above 15mph, its also called anti hi-jack as that's the main reason for enabling it. On VW's its a simple VCDS tweak, on Ford's you need to have a modified elm cable and converse+ so you can enable it within the controller and then turn it on as a software option within converse+ - that's about the extent of my knowledge on that one!
yep understand it all now, have read a bit about it.
the wifes tiguan has this feature its a good 1 to have, unlike the seat belt has to worn even when reversing or it wont GO right PIA.
Really? The Golfs not that fussy, it does like to "boing" at you if you don't have it on though!
yep,you shouldve seen us the 1st time i tried to park it,SMELL of burning clutch 1 phone call later to the dealer (who was laffing)said put the belt on. :-[
Belt up :)
ok [agreed]
