hi all
is it possible for me to leave the windows open a few mm and set the alarm , or will the alarm go off, am trying to dry out after last weeks water ingress while the car was at garage, every time i go out and park up it steaming up.
It depends on where it's parked when you do it, I'm not sure how sensitive the interior scanners are but large insects flying around inside the cabin might be enough to set the alarm off, if you're worried about it you could just lock it without setting the alarm.
oh i thought when you pressed the button on the fob or turned the key in the door lock the alarm was set ? how do i lock without setting the alarm ?
iirc press the lock button twice or turn the key in lock twice to lock without setting the alarm.
should tell you in your manual.
Greg's spot on, the confirmation that the alarm hasn't been activated is that the door LED doesn't start to flash immediately after locking, there should be a delay of approx 10-15 seconds, whereas if the alarm is activated the LED should start to flash as soon as the vehicle is locked.
thanks for help
