Post by: martin sheppard on September 02, 2014, 04:59:18 PM
hello everybody

I have a mk2 galaxy and the booster heater has two leads coming out of it.
Does anybody have a diagram?

Thanks Martin

On an '02 plate I suspect you'll have a D5W-Z model fitted, in which case this (http://www.partsbase.org/vw/sharan-syncro-4motion-sha-eu-2002-81910-auxiliary-heater-auxiliary-heater-for-coolant-circuit/) diagram should help. There are a couple of sensors in the unit which monitor coolant and combustion chamber temperature, possibly the cables you mention are for one of those, unless you're referring the external leads coming out of the ECU itself (number 17 on the diagram).
