Title: Easy fit CV Boot kits
Post by: Peter Burgess on August 23, 2014, 08:16:13 PM
Has anyone experience of the easy fit split CV boot kits?

I assume they glue together along their length after fitting

They seem too good to be true, so I assume they must be for mugs! (like me!)

Peter.

i use to run a motor factor years ago and sold lots of these kits,   good they are to a point,  they don't fit every car  they are a trim it to size and hope it fits item,  many folk use to bring them back partly cut up and ask for a refund as it didn't fit !
they do save time and simply have a tongue and groove that you fill with superglue and then put together. Because of the many different shapes though they won't fit everything. wouldn't know if thy fit the galaxy though as I've been out of the business now for 7 years.

They might work for the outer joint but the inside one had a patten to it (in's and out's) so it certainly won't fit that ;)

Myself I'd go for the stretch one, I know you have to remove the CV joint from the hub, but you do get a solid boot.

you can get 2 for Ã,£7.99
