Hi all. I have a mk2 1.9 tdi 150 galaxy. Recently when driving it went into safe mode then cleared and its also cut out a couple of times at the lights/junctions.
Is there any one in the Teesside area who could help me out with fault finding /diagnosing the problem.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Dave
Hello Dave welcome5
Your a bit to far away for me, be patient there may be someone local that can help you with a scan :)
Dave if you don't have any offers of help you could get your own diagnostic lead under a tenner from Ebay download the free software.
There's a few members on here that can help with installing/using Vagcom/VCDS lite if you get stuck or don't feel confident.
Hi again and thanks for the replies. I've managed to carry out a basic scan and the code that shows up is P0001 . This is listed as Fuel volume regulator control circuit open. How can I establish if it is the regulator or the sensor. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers Dave
Somebody may be able to correct me here but as on the PD engine the fuel metering is controlled by the engine management and the unit injectors themselves I'm wondering if this may have anything to do with the injector wiring loom which can cause problems on occasion?
Would advice you use Vagcom/VCDS lite and not a generic reader for a more detailed explanation.
