Hi all
Been looking at my electric window today and fixed various Broken wires in the rubber boot / door shut and my window still does not work I've stripped the door card off and checked to see if I'm getting power to the plug that goes to the motor and I'm getting power there, but when I operate the switch as if I were doing it up I hear the motor clunk / click, but when I go to lower the window nothing happens, does anybody have any advise or knows what the problem could be.
Cheers
Kieron
If you can hear signs of life from the motor when you try to operate the window that would tend to suggest a fault with the motor or regulator, or that the glass has simply managed to pull itself out of the clamps that hold it to the regulator, have a look at this (https://www.fordmpv.com/smf2/ford-galaxy/passenger-window-dropped/) thread.
In the picture below the large brown wire had completely snapped giving the same symptoms, check these wires carefully they may be broken in more than one place.

My mistake :-[ , I hadn't read the original post properly, so you could hear a noise from the motor when the window switch was operated in the up direction but not downwards............?
In that case, take heed of Chris's above post and not the one I posted before that!
