Whilst doing some major bodge-reversal repairs to my Galaxy a while back, I unbolted this little radiator unit from the front end of my Mk2 TDI (it sits infront of the air-con condenser). Until this point, I had assumed it was a power steering or fuel cooler or something similar but when I inspected further the pipes feeding into it are actually coolant pipes- as there is already obviously a main radiator for the coolant, can anybody tell me what this unit is for? (Just for my own idle curiosity!)
Thanks! cheers

Double check where they go to, I was always under the impression that little rad is the oil cooler - only on the 130 and 150's
Vagcat has it listed as additional cooling radiator on the ASZ it's also listed for the ANU & AUY for use in warm climates.
Thanks guys, it's definitely coolant pipes- one of the pipes goes to the expansion tank whilst the other goes into the little finned fuel cooler unit on the nearside of the cylinder head. I'm just one of these people who likes to know how everything works and what it's purpose is! [THANKS]
